Aston Villa confirm signing of Jaden Philogene from Hull City

Aston Villa have confirmed that Jaden Philogene has signed on a five-year contract. The 22-year-old has re-joined Villa from Hull City. It is understood that Villa will pay Hull a fee around £12.5m.

The player was subject to interest from Ipswich Town, but Villa matched Ipswich’s £18m bid. Moreover, they have a 30% sell-on clause, thus making the deal way cheaper than what they paid.

Up next for Aston Villa, Amadou Onana is all set to undergo a medical and sign his contract in the coming days. The midfielder joins from Everton.
