Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri
The Reds are reported to be keen on bringing Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri to Anfield this summer. The Merseyside club will witness a new era under manager Arne Slot, who would want to make some positive signings ahead of the 2024-25 Premier League season.
Liverpool’s first-choice defender Andy Robertson missed 26 games last season due to injuries,Β with Kostas Tsimikas and Joe Gomez filling in for the absent Scottish captain. Ait-Nouri has established himself in the English top-flight and would be a natural successor for Robertson, who has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons.
The Algerian defender played 38 times across all competitions for Wolves last season, scoring three goals and bagging two assists. He is a player with plenty of experience in the Premier League and would be a perfect signing for Arne Slot’s Liverpool this summer.
But bear in mind, any successful move for Ait-Nouri would likely see the end of Tsimikas’ spell at Anfield and he could push for an exit in this window.
