Brighton and Danny Welbeck extend contract
Danny Welbeck has struck a new contract with Brighton and will stay until 2026. He is a key player for Roberto De Zerbi’s team and has so far made 126 appearances. Welbeck has scored 26 goals for the Seagulls.
Welbeck has scored seven goals in 35 appearances this season. He is also known for his stints with Manchester United and Arsenal.
Danny Welbeck reacts to signing new deal with Brighton
Danny Welbeck has spoken about his experience at Brighton so far after penning his new deal. The ex-United and Arsenal striker also claimed that his current team are one or two key signings away from becoming a greater force to be reckoned with. He said (via BBC):
“Each season has been special and we’ve progressed every year. A couple more key acquisitions for the squad will help us push on next season and I am pretty sure we can achieve some more special moments.”
Apart from Welbeck, veteran James Milner has also signed a new deal to extend his stay at Brighton.
