Ben White has been in sensational form for Arsenal this season in the English Premier League. So it wasn’t a surprise when Gareth Southgate decided to call the defender up to the England squad ahead of the Lions’ final friendly matches prior to the Euro 2024 in June. However, to the surprise of many, the Gunners defender decided to reject the call-up and continued to practice with the Arsenal camp.
While many have criticized the defender’s move to reject the call-up, Ben White’s agent has finally come to his client’s rescue by releasing a statement on social media. In the statement, Ben White’s agent said, “No one knows what is actually going on in one’s life, so I really believe people should think before making a judgment or criticizing these elite performers in public.”
The statement comes on the back of an extremely impressive performance by the Arsenal man against Chelsea as the defender scored a sensational brace in the London derby in the Premier League on Tuesday.
