Ronald Araujo leaves his future to Barcelona as Bayern Munich are interested in breaking the bank for the defender

Bayern Munich are examining a possibility of signing Barcelona’s centre half Ronald Araujo. Reports suggested that the Bundesliga champions are willing to pay huge cash of €100 million to land the Uruguayan player at Allianz Arena next season.

Araujo on the other hand, is still reluctant to speak further about this rumour and chooses to see what the future holds for him. The 25-year old said that he is enjoying his moment with Barcelona, mentioning the manager who is also the club legend Xavi Hernandez.

“My future depends on the club,” Araujo said via Goal. “Everyone knows I’m very happy here at Barca. And I’m very grateful to (manager) Xavi. We are very happy with the qualification, we played a great game at home. The support of our fans was very key from the first minute.”

A warning call for Bayern’s defensive unit

If the deal is materialised, Araujo would give a competition to the likes of Matthijs De Light, Eric Dier, and Kim Min-jae. The former admitted that he has no intention of leaving Bavaria in the near future, adding that he hoped the club would get good results in the future.

“I’m very happy at FC Bayern,” the former Ajax captain said via One Football. “The club and the fans have always given me a lot of love. I feel good now. I’m very happy now and hopefully we can still play very good games this season and go very far in the Champions League.” 

On the other hand, Min-jae’s playing time has been limited recently owing to a promising partnership between De Light and Dier. The former Napoli defender said that he is ready to fight for his place back in the first team. 

“I’ve never experienced this before, but I think I can learn something from it,” Min-jae said to T-Online via Bavarian Football Works. “Just because I’m not playing doesn’t mean I’m completely thrown off track. I always have confidence in my abilities when I go on the pitch. Of course, I’m thinking a lot at the moment. So far, I’ve played a lot of games, but because there are so many good players here at Bayern, it can happen that I don’t play.”
