Cristiano Ronaldo Is a Playable Character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has been announced as a playable character in the upcoming game Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves, which is set to be released next month. The game has Cristiano Ronaldo as a playable character who is a unique fighter combining martial arts with moves resembling football. His character has a red and green outfit, which is very similar to Portugal’s national team jersey.
A teaser trailer has been released showing Ronaldo’s fighting style with signature football techniques like powerful kicks and slide tackles embedded into his character. He is also seen wielding a blue football to unleash attacks before performing his iconic ” Siuuu” celebration. The company has further added its character description and background story as well, which states:
“He uses his time off to visit South Town to hone his new football skills. The various techniques he has developed playing football make him an unstoppable force, even to seasoned fighters.”
Cristiano Ronaldo hinted at the connection to Fatal Fury: City Of Wolves back in September when he posted a teaser stating: ” A legendary player joins a legendary game.” Fatal Fury, released in 1991, was one of the pioneers of the fighting game genre.
The most recent installment of the game was released in 1999, and they are making a comeback after 26 years with none other than world-famous Cristiano Ronaldo. This announcement was particularly shocking since Ronaldo has always been affiliated only with football, athleticism and has no prior connection with the gaming industry.
