Jude Bellingham and Zinedine Zidane collaborate to launch Adidas’ latest Y-3 travel collection

Adidas is fusing the past and present of Real Madrid in the launching of their latest Y-3 travel collection. Collaborating with the Spanish capital-based club, Adidas brought Zinedine Zidane and Jude Bellingham together into one frame in the seven-piece collection release.

Bellingham and Zidane have one thing in common as both played with the letter number five at the back. Up to this point, the Kepa Trophy winner has lived up to the expectation, scoring 20 in 31 appearances.

Zinedine Zidane on Jude Bellingham: “Unbelievable player”

Zidane has expressed his feelings for the English player. The Frenchman is looking forward to seeing Bellingham’s improvement with Madrid for many years to come.

“He’s an unbelievable player who does incredible things,” Zidane said. “You could have imagined what he was going to do, but he’s surpassed all the statistics with what he’s doing.

“Don’t forget that he’s only 20 years old. He arrived at Real Madrid with a lot of desire, a lot of goals and he is setting the bar very high. He’s just showing everyone what he is and it’s great to see him like that. I’m a big fan of his and now we want him to win trophies with Real Madrid. It’s everything he wanted for himself.”

Recently, Bellingham was suspended for the next two league games following his protest to the referee in the Valencia game. He will not be in the squad when Los Blancos host Celta Vigo at Santiago Bernabeu next Monday. As well as an away game against Osasuna five days after.

The second Adidas x Yamamoto collaboration

The Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto is the one behind this masterpiece craft, who is brave enough to experiment. Madrid is known for their infamous white outfit, but in this collection, Yamamoto put a dominant black into the pieces.

“Inspired by the signature monochromatic color palette of both Real Madrid and Y-3, the travel collection itself consists of a sleek and elegant selection of pieces in all black,” Adidas stated on their website. “Crafted at the intersection of tailoring and athletic wear, the suite of pieces includes a short sleeve polo, a long-sleeve polo, a pair of shorts, a pair of track pants, a track top, a coach jacket, and a premium faux leather jacket – each made with soft sporting fabrics and finished with collaborative details such as Yohji Yamamoto’s instantly recognizable handwritten signature script wordmark and the Real Madrid crest.”

This is not the first time Yamamoto collaborated with Madrid. Back in the 2021/22 season, both parties worked together on the club’s 120th anniversary, creating the iconic home kit.
