According to Jacobs, Man City views Kimmich as a potential reinforcement for their midfield, believing that he could complement existing talents such as Rodri. Although Liverpool and Barcelona have expressed interest, no significant progress has been made in their pursuits.

Since joining Bayern from RB Leipzig in 2015, Kimmich has amassed an impressive record of 376 appearances for the club, registering 41 goals and 100 assists. His trophy-laden tenure includes eight Bundesliga titles and a Champions League triumph.
