5. Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United | 116 points | £8.3m

Manchester United can demonstrate a genuine Jekyll and Hyde characteristic on certain occasions. While they have mostly been mediocre, they sometimes excel at a superior level. In the recent games against Rangers and Fulham, their performance has noticeably enhanced. This improvement has been led by captain Bruno Fernandes, who has been nothing short of outstanding. Despite currently holding 6 goals and 6 assists in the league, these numbers do not entirely capture the incredible form he has shown. With a weak Ipswich Town preparing to play against United this week, the Portuguese international is crucial.

4. Bryan Mbeumo – Brentford | 166 points | £8.0m

Bryan Mbeumo is having an incredible season. He has already scored 15 goals and provided 4 assists, and in Fantasy Premier League, only Salah and Palmer have accumulated more points than him. Nonetheless, there’s a peculiar aspect to this performance. Brentford have been exceptionally strong at home while struggling away from home. This is supported by Mbeumo’s own performances, impressive at home and not as much away. This weekend, Brentford will play at home against Everton. While the Toffees have performed well of late, Mbeumo at the GTech Stadium is a formidable rival.

3. Marcus Rashford – Aston Villa | 72 points | £6.6m

No one else in the Premier League arguably has more to lose at this moment than Marcus Rashford. Often left out of the squad by new manager Ruben Amorim, Rashford had to leave Manchester United, the club he had regarded as home since childhood. Pursuits with major teams such as Barcelona and Milan did not materialize, leading him to join Aston Villa instead. Nevertheless, Villa is a formidable team, and under Unai Emery, the England international has the opportunity to prove many doubters wrong. With teammates like Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Marco Asensio, Rashford will also benefit from strong support. What is expected of him right now is to relish his football and demonstrate his top-level performance. He could very well score his first goal in their colours this weekend as Villa takes on Crystal Palace, who have a weak defence.

2. Cole Palmer – Chelsea | 177 points | £11.1m

Cole Palmer of Chelsea

It’s the familiar names at the top of this ranking once more. Cole Palmer has been remarkably productive in recent campaigns. Although some may have perceived the last campaign as an exception due to his 33-goal contributions in the league. He has disproven all of this by already scoring 20 this season. Still, it has been an inconsistent season for him. His previous two outings in the Premier League have not yielded noteworthy results, but there are no signs that another significant Fantasy Premier League score isn’t imminent as a fluctuating Chelsea team gets ready to meet Southampton. Palmer still occupies the second spot on the list of top point scorers.

1. Mo Salah – Liverpool | 285 points | £13.7m

Mo Salah of Liverpool

Mo Salah has amassed more points in Fantasy Premier League than any other player this season so far, and this trend is not anticipated to change in the near future. He was also the first player to exceed the 200 points mark this season. Salah’s consistency is remarkable, having delivered substantial returns in nearly every match he has played this season. He has already scored 24 goals and provided 15 assists in the Premier League this season, surpassing any other competitor at this point in the league’s history. He does encounter a tough match against Newcastle this weekend, but the form he has been in, it doesn’t matter who the opponents are.

As we turn our attention to Gameweek 27, the Premier League has a thrilling set of fixtures lined up. The highlight of the weekend is the game between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. The latter side are improving of late and have always been a thorn in the side of Pep Guardiola’s team. City on the other hand are finding it very difficult to leave their slump in form.

The deadline for GW27 is on 25th February.
