Liverpool have managed to do it again and are now 9 points clear at the top after a win over AFC Bournemouth. They pulled off a 2-0 win thanks to a brace from Mohamed Salah.
The Reds were finding it hard to score today but got a helping hand after Lewis Cook tripped Cody Gakpo inside the box. Lewis Cook – 5.5: The make-shift defender’s accidental contact with Gakpo opened things up for Liverpool. His mistake may as be highlighted as the turning point of the match.
Illia Zabarnyi – 7: He was brilliant against Gakpo and then handled Nunez well. He never let the Liverpool forwards out of his sights.
Dean Huijsen – 7: Another solid performance and did well to handle Salah as well. However, he did not get the help needed from Kerkez.
Milos Kerkez – 6: He was unable to do much in the match today and was having a tough time going up and down as he needed to keep thinking about Salah’s position.
Midfielders
Ryan Christie – 7: He sat in front of his defenders and helped build things up from the back. His passing was brilliant today but could not do much to impact the scoreline.
