By and large, it may be quite surprising to some that Michael Olise represents France on the international level, despite being born and brought up in England. Owing to his ethnicity and family background, Olise is eligible to represent England, Nigeria, Algeria, and France. That said, in 2019, he was first called up by the French U-18 side for the 2019 Toulon Tournament.

Fast forward to 2022, Olise was called up to the France under-21 team. However, Michael Olise’s most notable contribution to the international remains when he was included in France’s final squad for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The campaign was moderately successful as former French striker Thierry Henry coached the side to a silver medal.
