3 players Real Madrid can realistically sign before Deadline Day
Los Blancos are still looking to bolster their squad…
Real Madrid have been relatively quiet this summer transfer window, signing only Kylian Mbappe. Endrick has officially joined but his signing was confirmed a while ago. Following their La Liga and Champions League success last season, Los Blancos were expected to get busy in the transfer market as they aim to compete for titles on all fronts once again. However, much to everyone’s surprise, the Spanish giants haven’t spent much, with the Mbappe transfer also being free. But here are some players they could still chase until the transfer window shuts…
Goncalo Inacio (Sporting CP)
Sporting CP have churned out some big names in the past, including a certain Cristiano Ronaldo, and there are definitely more on the sprinter’s block, namely Goncalo Inacio. A centre-back by trade, the up-and-coming Portuguese sensation has been making waves with the Lions. A €60 million price tag has been placed on him although Sporting are reluctant to let him go. Real Madrid’s recent transfer policy means they could be hesitant to splurge that much amount, but given his talents and young age, he might be worth every dime.
Jeremie Frimpong (Bayer Leverkusen)
Real Madrid are stacked in the midfield, but according to Spanish news outlet Marca, Dani Ceballos wants to leave the club this summer. Also, injuries to Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga means Carlo Ancelotti’s options are limited right now. This could prompt the side to enter into the market for a midfielder, with Jeremie Frimpong a good option. He starred as Leverkusen’s wing-back, but his attacking nous allows him to operate from various positions on the right.
Aymeric Laporte (Al-Nassr)
This man needs no introduction. Made in Bilbao before achieving star status in Manchester, rumor has it that Aymeric Laporte isn’t happy with his time in Saudi Arabia. In fact, a report from Defensa Central suggests that Real Madrid have enlisted the Spaniard as one of their targets for the summer. A seasoned professional with a multitude of titles under his belt, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid pull off this transfer.
