Winger Alex Sola completes move from Real Sociedad to Getafe

Spanish winger Alex Sola recently completed his move from Real Sociedad to Getafe in a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old will commit to a three-year contract with his new club and will look to become an integral part of the first team.

Sola came through the youth ranks at Real Sociedad before breaking into their ‘B’ team in 2017. He made 80 appearances for them, scoring four goals and providing three assists, and was promoted to the first team in 2019. However, he has been unable to establish himself as a regular in the first team and has had stints out on loan in search of more playing time.

Last season, he made just two substitute appearances for La Real before being loaned out to Deportivo Alaves, where he enjoyed good game time. Alex Sola made 33 appearances for Alaves, failing to open his scoring account but providing four assists for his teammates. With age on his side, he will look to continue playing more as he furthers his career with his new club Getafe.
