For the most part, Antonín Kinský is still very much a developing talent and very early into his hopefully long and successful footballing career. That said, there is a lot that we must discuss regarding the young Czech prodigy who has been turning heads with his performances for Sparta Prague since the start of the 2024-2025 season.

Currently playing for and signed to Tottenham Hotspur, Kinský plays as a goalkeeper and in his limited time in the team, has managed to wow audiences, coaches, and his fellow players which has eased their troubles in a key area on the pitch, especially considering their injury crisis this season.

As of now, Kinský has only made 2 appearances for the club, having been integrated into the first team immediately upon arrival by manager Ange Postecoglou. Initially considered one for the future, the youngster’s progress in the senior team is a sign of desperate times for the club with senior keepers Guglielmo Vicario and Fraser Forster both out with injury. That said, Kinský has more than held his own in his opening two games and displayed a level of confidence unseen within the Spurs backline, which has been notorious for leaking unnecessary, comical goals. With Kinský between the sticks, a certain reassurance has spread across the entire team.

All things considered, there is not a lot known about Antonín Kinský in terms of his early life and background. As per the player’s biodata on the Tottenham Hotspur official website, Kinský was born in Prague, Czech Republic on 13/03/2003. As of 2025, the young goalkeeper is 21 years old.

Although there is little to information regarding Kinský’s parents, siblings, or family in general, it is expected that the young keeper had some key footballing influences as a child. However, it is evident that Kinský’s parents and sister have been vital in supporting his footballing journey. That said, Antonín’s journey in football began quite early as the player enrolled with FC Tempo Prague when he was only 6 years old.

Notably, aside from Tempo Prague and their youth side, Kinský has also had spells at Bohemians 1905, and Dukla Prague, before moving to Slavia Prague in 2021. That said, he was sent out on loan, twice to Vyškov and Pardubice, between 2022 and 2024. Eventually, owing to an injury to the starting goalkeeper, he was made the #1 keeper at the start of the 2024-2025 season. As for the national youth sides, Kinský has been playing for the Czech Republic from the Under-15 level, all the way up to the Under-21.

Antonín Kinský Club Career, Trophies and Stats

As per the player’s social media, he has already appeared in numerous European competitions which has given him a solid base and has helped him become the goalkeeper that he is. At the same time, his growth from a relatively short span at the top level of the sport is commendable as well.

As mentioned previously, Kinskýi has also displayed his talents at the national level as well, putting in solid performances for the Czech Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, Under-19, Under-20, Under-21 teams, it would seem that Kinský’s talent was recognized by his country very early on as well.

Key Moments and Achievements

By all means, Antonín Kinský is looking to be a revelation for the Lily Whites in between the sticks, adding some much-needed solidity and confidence to a makeshift backline, which is trying to make things happen in the face of a terrible injury crisis. At the same time, Kinský is a trailblazer for young talents and is looking like a solid acquisition set to hold down the goalkeeping spot for the foreseeable future.

As mentioned previously, the young Czech international was thrown immediately into the fire, starting the game against Liverpool in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final. A rather unexpected start, yet Kinský showed guile and maturity well beyond his years which further spread onto the rest of the team as they held on for a 1-0 win against the best team in the country at the moment.

Whilst the next game against Tamworth wasn’t anything spectacular from the team, Kinský was once again flawless and stood tall despite some poor performances around him. Most notably, he was up to the task of preventing a possible shock upset when the national league minnows came close to scoring near the end of normal time.

Antonín Kinský Scout Report

Throughout his time playing for Sparta Prague and now at Tottenham Hotspur, Antonín Kinský has shown a level of maturity and instilled a sense of confidence in the team and the fans. By and large, his temperament and presence during a game make it seem as though he has been playing at the highest level for many years now.

Despite only being 21 years old, his understanding of the game specifically as a goalkeeper has been quite impressive. Owing to his performances, Antonín Kinský has at times been likened to a number of top goalkeepers, owing to the fact that he has displayed confidence with the ball at his feet and cat-like agility with his saves between the sticks. That said, there have been some concerns regarding him becoming slightly overconfident with the ball at his feet or having lapses of concentration, but he has managed to keep it in check for the most part.

It is for these very reasons that Ange Postecoglou and the scouting team have settled on him and fast-tracked him to the first team. Kinský makes up for the deficiencies seen with the ageing Fraser Forster, whilst maintaining the reactions and goalkeeping prowess that Guglielmo Vicario displayed prior to his long-term injury.

Antonín Kinský’s Playing Style and Strengths

For the most part, Antonín Kinský has all the attributes that a manager could ask for in a modern goalkeeper. Calm and composed with the ball at his feet and capable of playing out from the back or accurately finding a team-mate on the break, Kinský has been near flawless with his kicking. As a result, he is a perfect initiator for how Ange Postecoglou likes to play his football and his tactics during certain transitions.

Aside from that, his 6ft 3in frame makes for an imposing sight and Kinský utilizes his physicality and size well to challenge and contest for the ball during breakaways, set pieces, or corners. Additionally, his lightning-fast reactions and ability to get down to the ground despite his size is also very impressive attributes.

Antonín Kinský’s EA FC Rating

Currently, Antonín Kinský has a 72-rated card in EA FC 25. Owing to significant improvement from the young goalkeeper this season, his rating is likely to increase before the end of the season. Notably, the card has a potential of 80 OVR, which will certainly not please a lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans.

That said, the coming seasons could see Kinský significantly increase his rating, especially if he keeps competing at the level he is currently playing at. Naturally, his EA FC card does not accurately capture his ball-playing abilities and goalkeeping attributes and a sustained period of good form will soon lead to it changing as well.

Antonín Kinský’s Net Worth & Salary

For the most part, the contract and salary details of new singings from lesser-known clubs are never made public. Owing to the budding ages of the young talents, their minds are usually veered off of contract details, salaries, bonuses, and such. Thus, it is difficult to arrive at an estimated salary or net worth for Antonín Kinský.

That said, according to numerous reputable sources, Antonín Kinský was secured from Slavia Prague for a reported £12.5 million deal which is set to run until 2031, indicating the belief that the Spurs hierarchy has in the young Czech goalkeeper.

Conclusion

All in all, Antonín Kinský is looking like a very exciting prospect and one that will kick on and possibly contest for the starting spot even when all goalkeepers are available. Whilst it has been only a couple of games that the Czech has appeared in, a sustained run in the team will see him thrive even more and continue to deliver on the great potential he has shown so far.

As one of the few bright lights of an otherwise dismal time and season for Tottenham Hotspur, Kinský is looking to be the right bargain and possibly one of a growing troop of young players to come through in recent years at the North London club.
