Kyle Walker asked to leave Man City seeking a new challenge

Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker is said to have asked his club to sell him as he wants to play in another European league before retiring. The 34-year-old English right-back, who signed for City from Tottenham in 2017 under Guardiola, is reportedly seeking a change of scene before the end of his career.

Walker has been an important asset to City when it comes to domestic and European games, a fast, tenacious and a steady right back with banner-man qualities. However, the Englishman has been able to keep up high performance standards and yet looks like he wants to try something new.

Manager Pep Guardiola is the one who has to let the experienced player walk away and even though he will be sad to do so, he will support his decision 100%. Some of Europe’s elite clubs are said to be in the hunt and talks are believed to intensify in the next few weeks.
