FPL Price Changes – rises, falls and most transfers in/out for GW 17
Gameweek 17 of the FPL season is soon going to be upon us. In the context of that it is important to look at how the last GW went. Gameweek 16 took place last weekend and threw up several interesting things to take note of. The stars of the show in the previous GW were Ismaila Sarr from Crystal Palace, who managed 17 points, Lewis Hall of Newcastle who managed a tally of 15 points and James Maddison of Tottenham Hotspur who too managed a tally of 15 points. The fixture to keep an eye out for this week is that of table toppers Liverpool against the inconsistent but highly capable Tottenham Hotspur.

Nikola Milenkovic | Nottingham Forest | £4.6m |
Milos Kerkez | AFC Bournemouth | £4.7m |
Levi Colwill | Chelsea | £4.6m |
William Saliba (Arsenal) £6.3m
William Saliba is currently amongst the top defenders in the Premier League. As the matches start to accumulate and other players in Arsenal’s defense are sidelined due to injuries, Saliba has taken on the leadership role by not only consistently delivering outstanding defensive displays but also serving as Arsenal’s main goal-scoring threat. In fact, Arsenal have recently been scoring primarily from corner kicks, and Saliba scored in successive matches not so long ago. A comparatively simpler set of fixtures is ahead, so this could be the right moment to acquire him.
Amad (Manchester United) £5.2m
It has been a very interesting spell under new manager Ruben Amorim for Amad Diallo. The Ivorian found life at Manchester United rather difficult with managers in particular Erik Ten Hag not giving him enough of a chance, even though he scored the winner against Manchester City in the FA Cup final last season. It is against Manchester City that his best has come this season too. He won a penalty and scored the winner in the space of a couple of minutes near the end last week as United beat City in the derby. He has been his club’s best player of late.

Lewis Hall (Newcastle) £4.6m
Newcastle have been up and down, as they have struggled to find any sort of consistency this season. This is the reason that they find themselves as low as 12th. But Lewis Hall is someone who has really impressed for the Magpies this season. The Chelsea academy graduate is really good in possession, as an inverted option for controlling the tempo of the game as well as attacking down the wing. He is also very decent defensively and with his form, it’s not surprising to see him rise in price.
FPL fallers GW17
Players | Club | Price |
Gabriel | Arsenal | £6.1m |
Ollie Watkins | Aston Villa | £8.9m |
Savinho | Manchester City | £6.8m |
Georginio Rutter | Brighton | £5.5m |
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall | Chelsea | £5.5m |
Rayan Ait-Nouri | Wolves | £4.8m |
Brennan Johnson | Spurs | £6.6m |
Marcus Rashford | Manchester United | £6.8m |
Caoimhin Kelleher | Liverpool | £5.1m |
Ibrahima Konate | Liverpool | £5.1m |
Savinho (Manchester City) £6.4m
It has been a rosy start to life in the Premier League for Savinho but things have not gone according to plan since. The Mahrez comparisons came from the start as did the skills and tricks but it’s the goals that have been missing. So far this season in the Premier League, he’s yet to find the net even once, an extremely undesirable statistic for a forward made even worse by Manchester City’s terrible form of late. Hence it’s no surprise to see that the Brazilian’s price fall.
Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) £6.8m
Unfortunately, it does seem like the end is coming for Marcus Rashford in Manchester United colors. The academy graduate had made a good start under Ruben Amorim and it did seem like things were going to take an upward turn. But that just hasn’t happened with Amorim dropping him from the squad altogether for the derby against Manchester City the previous weekend citing training performances. He has also given an interview saying that it might be time to look for a new challenge in his career. Is a move waiting for him in January?
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Chelsea) £5.5m
Chelsea are in fantastic form but Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is not one of the beneficiaries of this run of form. Signed only this summer, it has been a bizarre season for the midfielder who had been so highly rated in the last couple of seasons. Chelsea’s depth of young midfielders has meant that KDH has often struggled to even get into the squad. This is even more baffling given KDH excelled under current Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca last season at Leicester City. So far, he has only played 56 minutes in the Premier League with nothing of note to report.
