4. Chris Wood – Nottingham Forest | 69 points | £6.6m
Nottingham Forest have had a very good start to the season. They currently sit 7th in the Premier League table. Chris Wood is perhaps the most important reason for this. He has scored 8 times in the league before injury made him a doubt for last week. Now back to full fitness, the veteran New Zealand striker is expected to get back in to lineup straightaway and make a goalscoring impact again, which will suit Fantasy Premier League managers. Ipswich Town have found life in the Premier League difficult and they are Forest’s opponents this weekend. Wood could be in for a big week.
3. Yoane Wissa – Brentford | 56 points | £6.1m
Brentford have had a mixed season and very interestingly while they are very poor away from home, but at the GTech stadium they are fantastic. This weekend, they take on Leicester City, who have not been great since coming up to the Premier League. Yoane Wissa has been a very dependable Premier League striker. He has made the difficult job of replacing Ivan Toney look rather easy for Brentford. Wissa is in great form and has scored 6 goals and assisted 2 times this season. With the Bees taking on Leicester City this weekend, Wissa could get big points.
2. Joao Pedro – Brighton | 42 points | £5.6m
Ever since joining Brighton, Joao Pedro has become their most important player. He is a very complete player who can score and create and is very consistent. His last two outings after coming back from injury have led to 11 and 12 points in Fantasy Premier League. He has 4 goals and 2 assists in the Premier League this season and in his last 2 games, he has scored and assisted. Brighton have a really great attacking unit and their opponents this week are a defensively suspect Southampton side. Overall, their next few matches look good too.
1. Nicolas Jackson- Chelsea | 72 points | £7.9m
Nicolas Jackson is one of the most complete and in form strikers in the Premier League right now. His last game versus Leicester City was immense and he got a goal and assist in the game. He already has 7 goals as well as 4 assists in the Premier League this season. With Cole Palmer, he has formed a deadly combination and he has stepped up when the Englishma’s form has fallen off a little bit. Chelsea have been a significantly better side this season and their game this weekend is against Aston Villa. Unai Emery’s side aren’t in particularly great nick at the moment and Chelsea led by the chaos produced by Jackson could have good game here.
This weekend, in Gameweek 13, the standout fixture once again involves Manchester City as they take on table toppers Liverpool. Pep Guardiola’s side are in a dreadful moment and for the first time in the history of the manager’s career has he lost 5 games in a row. If Liverpool could add on to their misery, it would almost certainly mean bidding goodbye to their title aspirations. The gameweek deadline is on the 30th of November.
