Fantasy Premier League Team of the Season so far 24/25
Fantasy Premier League has reached a good point in the season with Gameweek 11 being over last week. Let us look at the top scoring players across the first 11 Gameweeks of 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League.
A 3-4-3 formation has been chosen and players from 8 different clubs are included in it.
Goalkeeper
Andre Onana (Manchester United) £5.1m, 53pts
Manchester United have had a shaky defence so far this season but Andre Onana has hardly been affected, in Fantasy Premier League terms at least. Five clean sheets, a penalty save and five save points means that Onana leads the way among keepers in the game. The Cameroonian has a points total of 53 in 11 GWs, with a highest score of 13 points in GW4 against Southampton. He leads the way in the Bonus Point System meaning he’ll receive more bonus points when United keep clean sheets.
Defenders
Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) £6.3m, 56pts
Liverpool have been the standout side in the Premier League this season and that is clear by the fact that they lead the table. The main thing here is their defence has been exceptional, letting in only 6 goals this season, 4 fewer than anyone in the league. Virgil Van Dijk has been the cornerstone of that strong defence as the captain of the side. Out of his 56 points, his highest in a particular GW was in GW 7, where he got 8 points against Crystal Palace.
Josko Gvardiol (Manchester City) £6.3m, 50pts
Manchester City have had a poorer start to the season than anyone expected. One person who however has kept up their high standards is defender Josko Gvardiol. The Croatian is a two way threat with clean sheet points in 2 games and attacking returns too, with 3 goals. He is also in fantastic form, with three goals and a clean sheet over the last six GWs. Gvardiol’s 12 shots in the box and seven shots on target this season both place him first among defenders. He also leads the form charts for defenders.
Ola Aina (Nottingham Forest) £4.7m, 48pts
Ola Aina is presently the best value defender in Fantasy Premier League and like his side, has had a ridiculous start to the season. In terms of Fantasy Premier League, he is the standout member of a Nottingham Forest backline that have conceded the second fewest goals this season in the Premier League. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have kept 4 clean sheets, getting Aina valuable points. He also has a goal, with his best performance being a 15 point haul in GW10.
Midfielders
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £12.9m, 107pts
Mo Salah is the most consistent player in Fantasy Premier League. Liverpool’s Egyptian King has racked up seven double figure hauls across the opening 11 Gameweeks, more than twice that of any other player. His highest point haul in a single gameweek came in GW3, when he racked up 17 points against Manchester United. He is the only player this season to surpass the 100 points barrier. Salah is on course for a record breaking campaign, if he can maintain his 9.7 points per match average.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea) £10.9m, 84pts
Cole Palmer is Chelsea’s main man for all purposes. He is their central creative hub and scores the most goals. His 25 point haul in GW 6 versus Brighton & Hove Albion is the best anyone has scored in a single GW this season. Palmer topped the points charts last season and this season looks ominous again. He already has notched up 84 points, including 7 goals and 5 assists. With Chelsea being better this season, Palmer could have an even better season.
Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £7.9m, 76pts
Brentford talisman Bryan Mbeumo has been one of the standout players in Fantasy Premier League this season. He has a total of 76 points with the highest of 15 points in GW 9 against Ipswich. It is his home record that deserves a lot of attention. With 7 goals and 1 assist, Mbeumo has returned good hauls in each of his six appearances at the Gtech Community Stadium, averaging 10.0 points per match across those contests. Let’s see if he can continue this form.
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £10.1m, 67pts
Bukayo Saka has now been a reliable source of points in Fantasy Premier League, since when Mikel Arteta has taken over. The winger has been involved in 56 per cent of his side’s goals, scoring thrice and providing seven assists. Saka has been a creative monster, with his 13 big chances created, the highest in the league. This is the time to buy the Arsenal star if you don’t have him in your team, given the Gunners don’t play any of the top 6 in the next 9 weeks.
Forwards
Erling Haaland (Manchester City) £15.2m, 82pts
A drop in form over recent weeks has seen Erling Haaland‘s ownership in Fantasy Premier League fall from 74% to 64%. That being said, the Norwegian still tops the goalscoring charts on 12 goals. His underlying statistics are also phenomenal with his 55 shots, 47 shots in the box, 19 big chances and 31 shots on target all more than any other player. Although selling him frees up significant capital, it is still a very big risk that many managers want to avoid.
Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest) £6.6m, 68pts
The second Forest player on this list, Chris Wood is one of the main reasons behind them flying high at the start of the season. He has eight goals and 68 points so far. He also boast an impressive 78 per cent shooting accuracy, highest among forwards who have taken at least 15 shots. He has also risen £0.6m in price, the most among forwards on the game. Wood’s highest single gameweek tally came in GW9 against Leicester City where he managed 13 points.
Danny Welbeck (Brighton) £5.9m, 64pts
Danny Welbeck gets in here as the seventh attacker over Luis Diaz (£7.7m), on the virtue of him having more goal contributions than the Colombian winger. The Brighton forward is the best value player in Fantasy Premier League, having returned 10.8 points per million of his price. Welbeck has been a reliable performer, scoring or assisting in seven of his 11 appearances. It is great to see him running back his old form.
