Preview

  • Tournament: World Cup Qualifiers
  • Date: Thursday, November 14
  • Kick-off Time: 9:30 pm GMT
  • Venue: Estadio Monumental de Maturín, Venezuela

Brazil’s national football team will battle for supremacy with the Venezuela national football team for the top spot in the CONMEBOL qualifying at the Estadio Monumental de Maturín. Brazil had a mixed start to the qualifying campaign but they would easily claim all three points on their travels.

The hosts recorded a 2-1 loss to Paraguay in the 10th game of the CONMEBOL qualification but will need to be at their best on Thursday as they struggled to get the better of Brazil in their most recent encounters. Venezuela are also without a win from any of their previous five appearances across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Brazil’s national football team have shown real inconsistencies since the start of the World Cup qualifying campaign. They collected back-to-back victories with their 4-0 win over Peru in their latest game and a win here will see them maintain a strong grip on the table.

Venezuela vs Brazil Prediction

Venezuela’s national football team have consistently struggled to qualify for the World Cup and are in the hunt to reach its first-ever World Cup. They are currently sitting at the bottom end of CONMEBOL qualifiers and are coming off a 2-1 loss to Paraguay in their last game. Fernando Batista’s side have now gone for six matches without a win in all competitions.

Brazil’s national football team, meanwhile, are the favourites for this tie due to their impressive record against the hosts. Brazil are coming off a thumping 4-0 win over Peru in their latest fixture in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying. Brazil are currently sitting fourth in the group standings securing only 16 points from their first 10 games. The Selecao have an excellent record against the hosts and would like to exert their influence on Thursday.
