Manchester United Eyes Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise as Potential Key Signing in Post-Ratcliffe Overhaul

Olise, who penned a four-year deal with Palace in August, holds a new £100,000-a-week contract featuring a release clause set to activate in the upcoming summer. While the exact figure remains undisclosed, it is anticipated to surpass the £35 million release clause in his previous contract with Palace.
Under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s control of football operations, granted through his £1.03 billion deal for a 25% stake in United, plans are underway to revamp the club’s transfer strategy. Sir Dave Brailsford is spearheading an audit of the current transfer structure, with potential summer targets being discreetly identified.

Olise emerges as a prospect to inject creativity into United’s struggling attack, as the team has only managed to score 22 goals in the Premier League this season. The 22-year-old, who showcased his prowess with five goals in seven starts since recovering from a November hamstring injury, is seen as a player who could breathe life into United’s offensive play.
While Ratcliffe’s takeover is pending Premier League ratification, INEOS has already assumed control of football operations at United. Until the deal is formalized, United are obligated to consult with INEOS before making any player transactions.
