Best Goalkeeper Picks For Fantasy Premier League GW 8

After yet another international break, the Premier League is back, along with the Fantasy Premier League. Gameweek 8 brings with it some very interesting fixtures. Let us delve into the players who can bring you Fantasy Premier League success in GW 8. Here we look at the goalkeepers.

5. Emiliano Martinez

Clean sheets-wise, it hasn’t been the best of starts to the season for Emiliano Martinez and therefore his Fantasy Premier League points have suffered. But when the lights are bright, there’s probably no one better, as his last two performances against Manchester United and Bayern Munich have shown. The Argentine custodian will hope to take that form into the club season again after an international break where he didn’t play. Villa faces an upbeat Fulham side in GW8 but expects Martinez to come good nonetheless.

4. Matz Sels

While it shows Matz Sels currently has a knock, it is very much expected that the Belgian keeper should be back fit to face Crystal Palace this weekend. Palace have failed to get going at all and that is good news if you have Sels. Prior to the international break, he was excellent against Chelsea, rescuing a point for Forest. He will hope to continue in the same vein.

3. Jordan Pickford

Everton have largely been the whipping boys of the Premier League this season but it looks like it’s time that is going to change. Recently they picked up their first win of the season and this weekend they take on Ipswich. The newly promoted side have struggled and with Everton’s defence set to be bolstered by the return of Jarrad Branthwaite, this could be the week they pick up a clean sheet. For that reason, Jordan Pickford could be a worthwhile pick in Fantasy Premier League this week.

2. David Raya

David Raya has become a permanent fixture in this list, owing to his own fantastic form as well as Arsenal’s defensive strength in general. Raya played a rare international game for Spain in this break and that will give him even more confidence. Bournemouth are a good side but even then, beating the Spanish keeper who has elevated his game to an all-new level this season, will be a difficult ask.

1. Ederson

Ederson is one of those players who you don’t hear about every week because he goes about doing their job without much of a fuss. He is top-class at what he does though and that is why he has been trusted by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City for so long. In Fantasy Premier League, he is not someone who gets too many save points but he is reliable for clean sheets. This week he is expected to add another to his tally as City face Wolves.
