Barcelona vs Getafe will be the second of two La Liga games to be played on September 25 as the runaway league leaders will host a team struggling in 18^th place in the table.

Barca will enter this contest on the back of a scintillating run of form that has helped them create some gap between themselves and Real Madrid in second place. They have won each of their six La Liga games so far, scoring 22 goals in the process and conceding five goals. Their last outing was a commanding 5-1 win against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceramica and they will look to continue that run of form.

Getafe, on the other hand, have struggled to find form in La Liga as they are already in the relegation zone after just six games. Manager Hansi Flick fielded a nearly full-strength lineup for Barcelona in their last game against Villarreal. Barca will be without their captain and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen for the next one after he seemed to have picked up an injury against Villarreal and was replaced by Inaki Pena after half-time. Apart from that, the lineup is expected to remain the same.

Manager Jose Bordalas fielded a slightly conservative lineup in their last game against Leganes where they secured a 1-1 draw. Star forward Borja Mayoral’s penalty was enough for them to secure a point but they will need much more to even compete with Barcelona. The Polish marksman has already racked up six goals in as many LaLiga appearances so far and has also contributed with two assists. He scored a brace in their commanding 5-1 win away to Villarreal and will be raring to go against Getafe, who have struggled for form this season. He will be the focal point of his team’s attack and will look to score at least one goal.

Omar Alderete (Getafe)

Alderete has been Getafe’s top-performing player so far this season and has put in some decent defensive performances to help his team. However, due to a lack of support up front, they haven’t even come close to getting a good result and will again rely on Alderete to keep things quiet at the back as they look to earn their first win.
