AFC Bournemouth is facing several injury concerns ahead of their upcoming match. Milos Kerkez, though seen in a protective boot, is downplayed as having a ‘knock’ by manager Andoni Iraola. Arsenal

Kai Havertz will miss Arsenal’s upcoming London derby against West Ham due to suspension after accumulating his fifth yellow card. Leandro Trossard is expected to step in as his replacement. The rest of the Gunners’ squad may remain unchanged.

Meanwhile, Thomas Partey is racing against time for a festive season return but has yet to train with the team as he finalizes his rehabilitation.

Jurrien Timber is ruled out for several months with a knee injury, Fabio Vieira is recovering from groin surgery and is expected back after the mid-season break, and Takehiro Tomiyasu is sidelined with a muscle issue following a setback in Gameweek 14.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa will be without Matty Cash in their upcoming fixture due to his fifth caution of the season. Pau Torres is a potential replacement if he overcomes an ankle issue; otherwise, Unai Emery may turn to Clement Lenglet. Pau Torres is a game-time decision with a ‘small injury’ but could be available against Manchester United.

The team faces several absences, including Emiliano Buendia, Tyrone Mings, Bertrand Traore, and Boubacar Kamara. The severity of injuries to Robin Olsen and Youri Tielemans remains uncertain, while Matty Cash is serving a one-match suspension.

Predicted XI: Martinez, Konsa Ngoyo, Diego Carlos, Lenglet, Álex Moreno, Bailey, Douglas Luiz, McGinn, Jacob Ramsey, Diaby, Watkin.

However, Bryan Mbeumo, Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Kevin Schade, and Kristoffer Ajer are unavailable due to injuries, and Ben Mee and Frank Onyeka are suspended. Predicted XI: Flekken, Ghoddos, Collins, Pinnock, Janelt, Jensen, Norgaard, Damsgaard, Lewis-Potter, Maupay, Wissa.

Brighton

Brighton are dealing with several injury concerns as they prepare for their upcoming match. Kaoru Mitoma, who suffered an ankle injury, will be a game-time decision with time until Thursday’s game. Tariq Lamptey, Adam Webster, and Pervis Estupinan are without a specific timeframe for their return, but manager Roberto De Zerbi indicates they will likely be sidelined for “many weeks more,” possibly returning after the winter break.

The Seagulls’ goalkeeping situation remains uncertain as De Zerbi continues to alternate between Jason Steele and Bart Verbruggen. Unfortunately, several players are ruled out: Julio Enciso is delayed until February after a second surgical procedure, Solly March could be sidelined for a significant period, Estupinan is out for a prolonged period, and Webster is expected to be unavailable for several more weeks.

Additionally, Tariq Lamptey is facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines after a setback, and Ansu Fati might be out for up to three months, with a potential return in late February. Joel Veltman is expected to be back in action around February after being sidelined for around two months.

There’s uncertainty around Johann Berg Gudmundsson’s muscle issue, and the team is awaiting further updates. Unfortunately, Luca Koleosho is ruled out for an extended period due to a serious knee setback, and he is expected to return towards the back end of the season.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson refrained from starting Eberechi Eze against Brighton, despite indicating that the forward is close to returning to the starting lineup. The Eagles, aiming for a win at Stamford Bridge, could narrow the gap with their London rivals to just one point.

Several players are ruled out for Crystal Palace: Nathan Ferguson is scheduled for surgery and faces an extended period on the sidelines, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi suffered a setback in training and is expected to be out long-term, Cheick Doucoure is anticipated to miss the rest of the season due to an Achilles rupture, Rob Holding’s ankle injury may keep him out for up to a month, Sam Johnstone is likely to miss the game pending a definitive diagnosis for his calf issue, Odsonne Edouard is a major doubt after being forced off in the defeat to Liverpool, and Joel Ward is expected to be absent for a while with a hamstring injury.

Predicted XI: Henderson (Dean), Clyne, Andersen, Marc Guehi, Mitchell, Lerma, Richards (Chris), Olise, Eze, Ayew (Jordan), Mateta.

Everton

Following the 2-1 defeat at Tottenham, Burnley manager Sean Dyche expressed concern about the team being stretched, particularly with Idrissa Gueye’s uncertain status, stating, “It doesn’t look great.” In the absence of Abdoulaye Doucoure, Andre Gomes made his first Premier League appearance since January 2022.

For the upcoming clash with Manchester City, Seamus Coleman is considered “touch and go” depending on his progress in the coming days. Ashley Young has a “niggly” muscle injury and is rated as 50/50, while Abdoulaye Doucoure, recovering from a thigh issue, is making “good progress” and has a chance of being available.

Dele Alli is ruled out due to a long-term hip issue, and Idrissa Gueye’s condition is uncertain, with Dyche admitting it “doesn’t look great,” and the midfielder is set to be assessed.

Predicted XI: Pickford, Patterson, Tarkowski, Keane, Branthwaite, Mykolenko, Harrison, Mvom Onana, Garner, McNeil, Calvert-Lewin.

Fulham

Willian is a game-day decision due to a hamstring issue, Adama Traore is ruled out with a setback in his recovery, Tim Ream is unlikely to return before Christmas due to a calf injury, and Raul Jimenez is suspended and expected back on New Year’s Eve after serving a three-match ban.

Issa Kabore and Amari’i Bell are facing late fitness assessments by Rob Edwards after both players were substituted during the recent match against Newcastle United. Their availability for the upcoming games will be determined based on these fitness checks.

Predicted XI: Kaminski, Mengi, Andersen, Osho, Issa Kabore, Barkley, Nakamba, Doughty, Townsend, Adebayo, Brown.

Manchester City

Manchester City heads into Gameweek 19 with uncertainty surrounding the availability of key players. Erling Haaland, who had been seen training in Saudi Arabia, is still questionable for the upcoming match due to a foot issue. Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku, both absent from the FIFA World Club Cup, remain doubtful as well. While De Bruyne was seen back in training earlier, the extent of his hamstring injury may delay his return to the pitch.

Notably, neither Haaland nor Doku participated in the final team training session before the recent victory over Fluminense. Rodri, who suffered an injury in the World Club Cup final, is considered a possible concern, but he expressed confidence in his fitness. Pep Guardiola’s press conferences in the Middle East lacked detailed team news, adding an element of uncertainty to the status of these players as Manchester City approaches the next fixture.

Predicted XI: Ederson, Walker, Rúben Dias, Aké, Gvardiol, Rodri, Stones, Bernardo Silva, Foden, Grealish, Álvarez.

Manchester United

On a more positive note, there is optimism surrounding Ibrahima Sangare’s recovery from a groin issue, as indicated by manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Sheffield United

Sheffield United will be without Jayden Bogle in the upcoming match due to suspension. Manager Chris Wilder will evaluate the fitness of Anel Ahmedhodzic, who missed the draw with Aston Villa due to a hamstring issue, ahead of the crucial match against Luton Town.

Several key players remain unavailable for Sheffield United, including Chris Basham (leg), Tom Davies (thigh), John Egan (leg), and Daniel Jebbison (illness). However, there is positive news as Rhian Brewster, recovering from a knee injury, and Rhys Norrington-Davies, who had a hamstring concern, have returned to training. Notably, Norrington-Davies played 45 minutes for the under-21s last week, indicating progress in his recovery. The availability of these players will impact the manager’s decisions for the upcoming fixture.

Predicted XI: Foderingham, Baldock, Robinson, Trusty, Lowe, Hamer, Vinicius Souza, Brooks, Ben Slimane, Archer, McAtee.

Nayef Aguerd and Maxwel Cornet missed the win over Manchester United due to illness, and their availability for the upcoming match against Arsenal is uncertain. Moyes will likely provide updates on their recovery during the upcoming press conference.

Michail Antonio, who was on the injury list in Gameweek 18 due to a hamstring issue, has resumed running, indicating progress in his recovery. Moyes may provide further details on Antonio’s fitness and potential involvement in the upcoming fixture. These updates will play a crucial role in determining West Ham United’s squad for the next match.

Predicted XI: Fabianski, Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Emerson, Álvarez, Ward-Prowse, Kudus, Soucek, Lucas Paquetá, Bowen.

Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ forward Pedro Neto, who was not included in the squad for the win over Chelsea on Christmas Eve due to a hamstring issue, is expected to return soon. Neto has been training in the past week, suggesting that his involvement in the Wolves squad is imminent.
