Tino Anjorin completes move from Chelsea to Empoli

Chelsea have confirmed that Tino Anjorin has completed his transfer from Chelsea to Empoli. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder grew up through the Blues’ youth academies. He has represented Chelsea at various age groups but never made an appearance for the senior team.

Anjorin made five appearances for the Blues’ senior team and also had loan spells with Lokomotiv Moscow, Portsmouth, and Huddersfield. The England youth international will now ply his trade with Empoli. Chelsea released a statement following Anjorin’s departure, which read:

“Tino Anjorin has completed a permanent transfer to Serie A side Empoli. We would like to thank Tino for all his efforts while at the club and wish him well as he begins the next chapter in his career.”

Chelsea have been looking to sell academy products as the revenue will directly go to the profit column. That would help the club massively in abiding by the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). They have sold Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid while Harvey Vale has been exit linked. Anjorin has now also left the club. The Blues have included a 50% sell-on clause in the deal.
