German club interested in forgotten Arsenal defender

Arsenal’s forgotten defender Omar Rekik who spent the last season on loan at Wigan Athletic and Servette has been linked with a permanent exit in the final days of the summer window. He is under contract with the Gunners until the summer of 2025.

The 22-year-old defender has struggled to break into the first team since his arrival from Hertha Berlin back in 2021. The North London giants are now willing to cut their losses amid interest from 2. Bundesliga club SSV Jahn Regensburg.

The Tunisian international could not play a single minute for Servette in the second half of last season after the Swiss club failed to register the defender.
