Kylian Mbappe demands €55M from PSG in Legal battle over unpaid wages

Kylian Mbappe has taken legal action against his former club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over €55 million in unpaid wages.

The French superstar who recently joined Real Madrid on a free transfer claims that PSG failed to pay him the final third of his signing bonus, his last three months’ salary, and an ethics bonus as per his contract.

Kylian Mbappe takes legal action against PSG

According to reports from L’Equipe, Mbappe’s lawyers warned PSG to pay the owed amount by June 30 but the club did not comply.

As a result, Mbappe has taken his case to the legal committee of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) and has also involved the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) through the Federation Francaise de Football (FFF).

The LFP’s legal committee has the authority to ban PSG from recruiting new players until the issue is resolved. Additionally, if UEFA finds irregularities PSG’s participation in European competitions could be in jeopardy.

This legal dispute casts a shadow over what should have been a triumphant new chapter in Mbappe’s career with Real Madrid. The 24-year-old has already made an impact in Spain scoring in Real Madrid’s 2-0 UEFA Super Cup victory against Atalanta.
