Liverpool plotting a late move for Marc Guehi

The Reds are currently in the market for defensive and midfield reinforcements but are yet to make their first signing of the summer transfer window. With just four days remaining in the transfer window, Liverpool are planning a late swoop for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

Liverpool could hijack Newcastle United’s move for the England international who has been their No.1 target throughout this summer. The Reds identify Guehi as a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk who has entered the final year of his contract.

Crystal Palace are demanding close to £70m for the centre-back and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool are willing to offer such a massive transfer fee.
