Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg close to leaving in £20 million deal
Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg is reportedly on the verge of leaving the club in £20 million move after his pre-season performances has caught the eye of several German clubs and clubs in the Premier League.
According to David Ornstein, Van Den Berg has struck a deal with an unnamed club and Liverpool will receive a hefty £20 million compensation for his transfer. The Dutchman earlier rejected moves from Bundesliga clubs Mainz and Wolfsburg.
Many reports suggest that the defender has accepted a permanent move to Thomas Frank’s Brentford, with Frank known to have been a keen admirer of the Dutch international.
