Liverpool getting close to signing Giorgi Mamardashvili
The Reds are inching closer to making their first signing under the Arne Slot era in the form of Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has had a sensational campaign with Georgia in the European Championships.
Liverpool are reportedly ready to pay a fee in the region of €40 million for the goalkeeper, who has been viewed as a long-term replacement for Liverpool’s No.1 Alisson.
According to The Athletic, Mamardashvili will move back to Valencia on loan for the remainder of the campaign, before permanently moving to Anfield next summer. A deal has not yet been finalised yet but will be announced in the coming days.
