Man City eager to bring back Ilkay Gundogan from Barcelona

Manchester City are interested in bringing back their former captain Ilkay Gundogan to the Etihad just a year after he opted to leave on a free transfer to join Barcelona last summer. Pep Guardiola has reportedly approved the German’s return to the Premier League.

The 33-year-old veteran midfielder has two years left on his contract and Barcelona will reportedly allow the German to leave this summer. Gundogan made 51 appearances across all competitions last season for the Catalan giants.
