Man United’s interest in Ivan Toney under scrutiny with Saudi club looking to hijack a potential deal: Report
A report from ‘TEAMtalk‘ asserts that Man United has Brentford’s striker Ivan Toney high on their priority list as someone who could turn Erik ten Hag’s fortunes in front of the goal.
Despite having Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee at their disposal, United are still being linked with a severe interest in Ivan Toney.
However, as per ‘Fabrizio Romano’, Saudi clubs have entered the race for the England international now, with a few of them looking to bring Brentford’s talisman to the Middle East. One identified club in Al-Ahli is reportedly plotting a move for Toney. The Saudi side is termed to be a heavy ‘admirer’ of the striker.
With the reduced price tag of the 28-year-old now cornering around £40-45 million, things look more feasible at this stage for Al-Ahli. This will come as a blow to Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s interest in the player.
