Inter star Denzel Dumfries seeking potential transfer to Manchester United
Dutch international, Denzel Dumfries intends to switch from Inter Milan to Manchester United in the summer. As per reports, the right-back has entered the final year of his contract at San Siro and is against the idea of extending his stay further with the Serie A club, having halted the fresh contract negotiations in Italy.
Dumfries arrived in Milan, from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven in 2021. He has played 132 games for Nerazzurri and made 31 goal contributions in all competitions. The defender played regularly in the club’s recent Serie A title-winning campaign in the 2023-24 season. However, the player now wants a fresh new challenge in the premier league with the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are looking for a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is poised to leave Old Trafford amid ongoing talks with West Ham United. Despite the two clubs agreeing on the deal in principle with the Hammers, the player has yet to agree on personal terms with the fellow Premier League club which casts doubt over the transfer.
Over the summer, United have been targeting to secure Bayern Munich’s full-back Noussair Mazraoui. However, the English club would also be open to signing the 28-year-old, Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan, with the exciting prospect of selling Wan-Bissaka directly in a swap move. Reports also suggest that Inter camp is willing to negotiate with the Dutchman and his agent to agree to extend his contract.
