Man Utd target Wolves star as their Manuel Ugarte alternative

Manchester United has reportedly identified Joao Gomes as a potential alternative to Manuel Ugarte for the defensive midfield position. Ugarte’s €60 million asking price has proven too steep for the Red Devils and according to David Ornstein, United have left the negotiations and will only return if PSG lowers their demands.

United are now focusing on attainable targets such as Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes who reportedly has a price tag of around £38 million. There is a chance that both Casemiro and Scott McTominay will depart this summer and United could intensify in their pursuit of the Brazilian midfielder.
