Arsenal holding out £30m transfer fee for Eddie Nketiah

The Gunners are holding out a £30m transfer fee for Eddie Nketiah after reportedly rejecting a third bid from Marseille for the striker last week. The 25-year-old has gone down in the pecking order behind Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz in the final third.

Nketiah was long viewed as a future star for Arsenal, but has never managed to nail down a starting place in Mikel Arteta’s setup. The England international is also keen to make a move elsewhere to earn regular first-team football.

Marseille’s latest bid of over £23m was rejected by the North London giants and it’s unclear whether the French club would agree to match Arsenal’s valuation of the academy striker.
