Arsenal sent scouts to watch Viktor Gyokeres in action

The Gunners are reportedly leading the race for Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres, but are yet to agree to a deal over the line. Both Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have been linked with a summer exit and the club is in the market for a new centre-forward.

Arsenal sent scouts to Lisbon to watch the Swede international in action against Athletic Bilbao. The 26-year-old forward is coming off a sensational 2023/24 campaign where he added 43 goals and 15 assists from 50 appearances in all competitions.

Gyokeres has a release clause of £84 million, but Sporting are open to accepting lower bids for the talented striker.
