Ferland Mendy set to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid

The 29-year-old Frenchman is reportedly close to agreeing to a contract extension with La Liga giants Real Madrid. He enjoyed a stellar 20233/24 campaign after struggling with injuries in the past few seasons.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti has pushed the club to offer a new deal to Ferland Mendy, whose contract expires in the summer of 2025. Mendy has reportedly received a few offers from Saudi Arabia but he wants to continue his professional career with the Champions League specialists.

Last season, the Frenchman appeared in 37 matches across all competitions and competed for a starting berth with Fran Garcia at the left-back position.
