Manchester United book Leny Yoro medical ahead of transfer

Manchester United are on the verge of securing Lille defender Leny Yoro with the club having booked travel and medical tests for the 18-year-old.

The agreement which was reached last week includes a €50 million fixed fee plus €12 million in add-ons. Despite the deal not being fully completed Manchester United are confident it will be finalized soon as reported by David Ornstein.

Yoro who was initially thought to prefer a move to Real Madrid has agreed to personal terms in principle with Manchester United.

The young Frenchman is now set to fly to the UK for his medical signalling the deal’s advanced stage. United have been working hard to persuade Yoro to join and their efforts appear to be paying off.

This signing would bolster United’s defense as they continue to build a competitive squad for the upcoming season.

The club continues to admire Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite and Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt. Both players remain on United’s radar as possible reinforcements provided there is enough budget and squad space available as the transfer window progresses.
