Who is the Referee in the Euro 2024 Final between Spain and England?
The Euro 2024 final is almost here as England will have the opportunity to win their first-ever European Championship against Spain in Berlin this coming Sunday. La Roja have already secured the coveted European trophy thrice in the past.
Both sides have attacking options who could decide the outcome of this nerve-wracking game final in the Olympiastadion in Germany. But, who will officiate the upcoming Euro 2024 final?
Who is the Euro 2024 Final Referee?
France’s Francois Letexier will be the referee who will officiate the final between Spain and England in Berlin. The 35-year-old has refereed 65 matches since 2017. In the group stage of Euro 2024, he officiated the games between Spain and Georgia, Denmark and Serbia and Croatia and Albania.
He was also the fourth official at the opening match between Germany and Scotland and the 2024 Champions League final tie between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. Letexier will be assisted by compatriots Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni, while Szymon Marciniak has been appointed as the fourth official.
A state from UEFA read: “Letexier will be joined at Sunday’s final by French assistants Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni, while Szymon Marciniak (Poland) will be fourth official.”
“The video assistant referee (VAR) role has been assigned to Jerome Brisard (France), assisted by Willy Delajod (France) and supported by Massimiliano Irrati (Italy). Tomasz Listkiewicz (Poland) completes the line-up as assistant reserve referee.”
