Joshua Kimmich wants to reunite with Pep Guardiola

German midfielder Joshua Kimmich seems to be at the crossroads of his career of his illustrious career as his contract with Bayern Munich runs out in one year.

The 29-year-old reportedly wants to be reunited with Pep Guardiola this summer but the Bavarians are not willing to let him leave for less than £40 million rather than lose him for free next summer. With Kevin De Bruyne’s future uncertain at this moment, the world-class midfielder would become a valuable addition to City’s midfield.

Man City will no doubt be in the market for a long-term replacement for the Belgian midfielder who has attracted a few interests from Saudi Arabia and could be keen for a move in this summer transfer window.

Kimmich’s arrival would give competition to Man City right-back Kyle Walker as the Englishman has overworked and struggled with minor injuries last season. Pep Guardiola gave Kimmich his big break at Bayern Muncih during his spell at the Allianz Arena and it would be a perfect reunion for the player-manager duo.
