“We are ready” – Kylian Mbappé sends message to France’s supporters
Les Blues kick off their Euro 2024 campaign on Monday
France national team’s star Kylian Mbappé has sent an encouraging message to their fans ahead of their UEFA Euro 2024 opener. Les Blues kickstart their campaign against Austria in Group D on Monday at the Dusseldorf Arena.
Having flattered to deceive at the last Euros with a fairly early exit in the round of 16, Didier Deschamps’ men will be looking to make for it and tread a deep run in the tournament this time around.
Mbappé, who is coming off the back of another prolific campaign with PSG, also his last before moving to Real Madrid, sent a message to France’s supporters on his social media. He posted a video saying:
“We are ready to do something big”
Tucked away in their home kit for the Euros, Mbappé posted the video message on X, formerly Twitter, by UEFA EURO 2024’s official account.
The 25-year-old will be playing in his second European championship and will be looking to open his goalscoring account, having failed to find the net three years ago.
France among top favorites for Euro title
Given the sheer quality in their squad, France are easily among the top favorites for the Euro 2024 title. The two-time winners of the cup enter the German showpiece on the back of five wins in their last eight official games. Despite being drawn into a challenging group alongside big guns like the Netherlands and Poland, France are likely to progress as group winners. But how far can they go? We shall find out.
