Leicester City are obliged to sell players to avoid the financial breach

Leicester City will return to the Premier League next season and one of the first things they have to do is sell players. The Foxes need to sell players before 30 June as they have been charged for breaching the PSR regulations this season in the Championship division.

Last month, Leicester was charged for breaking the financial regulation and possibly would face points deduction next season. The 2016 Premier League champions failed to submit the 2022/23 season accounts. In the previous season, they reported a £92.5m loss.

Leicester City are obliged to let Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall go

Daily Mail reported that academy graduate Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall gained interest from multiple clubs such as Brentford, Fulham, and Brighton. Dewsbury-Hall is valued around £30 million and the profit would directly go to the club’s cash balance.

Speaking after securing promotion back to the top flight, Dewsbury-Hall admitted that his mission was accomplished. The Foxes through and through said that he was on cloud nine after winning the title for his boyhood club.

“It was a personal mission, I’ll be honest,” he said via the club’s official website. “I wanted to get this Club back to where they belong. I’ve tried my absolute hardest to do that. The fact I can say that I’ve done it, I’m so, so happy. Words can’t describe how I’m feeling right now.”

Leicester returned to the Premier League after topping the Championship division with 97 points in 45 games. The promotion was locked after beating Preston away, three goals to nil, completing their hat-trick of wins in the three previous games.
