West Ham vs Liverpool Preview, Prediction and Betting Tips | Premier League
West Ham vs Liverpool Preview:
- Date: Saturday, 27 April
- Kick-off Time: 11:30 AM (GMT)
- Venue: London Stadium
Perhaps in their worst moment since the start of the campaign, an ailing West Ham will host Liverpool on Saturday at the London Stadium on Matchday 35. The hosts have struggled in the face of injuries recently and fell to a thumping 5-2 loss against Crystal Palace last weekend as well. The loss marked the third loss of a four-match winless run. While the Hammer’s have certainly done exceptionally well compared to last season, their dreams of securing Europe are now diminishing rapidly with four matchdays to go. However, with Liverpool desperate to win as well, the Hammers might be motivated to sink the title hopes of the Reds by handing them a shock loss.
Arriving at the London stadium will be Liverpool FC. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been fantastic over the course of the season, but their form has certainly dipped in recent weeks. A shock loss to Crystal Palace a few matchdays ago dented the Reds’ aspirations of winning the league and a 2-0 loss in the derby against Everton midweek has nearly wiped out any chance of Liverpool winning the league. They are now chasing Man City in the title race who are not only ahead of them in the league, but also have a game in hand. However, Liverpool will look to keep pushing and gain three important points against the Hammers away from home.

West Ham vs Liverpool Team News:
West Ham:
The West Ham vs Liverpool tie will see the Hammers enter the battle without the services of Nayef Aguerd. The Moroccan center back has been a rock in the heart of West Ham’s defense this season but sustained an unfortunate ankle injury against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League. While West Ham haven’t officially ruled out Aguerd’s return for the game on Saturday, it is unlikely that the defender will heal in time for the Premier League tie.
Further weakening West Ham’s defense will be the absence of Konstantinos Mavropanos. The Greek defender took a brutal knock last week and is still recovering. With 5 days still to go for the West Ham vs Liverpool tie, it is unknown whether Mavropanos will be fit enough to play, but it seems that the Hammer’s might want to be careful with the defender and could leave him out of the matchday squad.
Meanwhile, Jarrod Bowen’s back injury still hasn’t healed significantly and the English forward might miss the West Ham vs Liverpool tie as well. While the Hammers have suffered due to injuries recently, several key players have returned to the squad as well, boosting the hopes of fans.
Liverpool:
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds have had a long list of injured players throughout the season. So when, Klopp arrives at London stadium to take on the Hammer’s he will certainly be a happy man considering the return of many key players to the side. On Saturday, Liverpool will be only without four players.
Injuries have hounded Thiago all season and he will miss the tie against West Ham with another injury. He will be accompanied by Conor Bradley on the sidelines as the youngster recently picked up an ankle injury. The young right back has been in sensational form and will now spend time on the sidelines till May.
Meanwhile, Ben Doak continues to recover from the injury he picked up back in December. Veteran defender Joel Matip’s long term injury will restrict the player from participating in the rest of the season and certainly the West Ham vs Liverpool tie.
