Chelsea vs Everton Preview
- Date –Monday, April 15, 2024
- Kick-off Time – 08:00 pm GMT
- Venue – Stamford Bridge
Chelsea will be facing relegation-threatened Everton in the Premier League on Monday night at Stamford Bridge. The Toffees will be looking for a win to take themselves further away from the relegation zone as they are sitting 16th in the league standings.
Sean Dyche’s side has been poor in front of the goal this season, their goal tally doesn’t look any good with 32 goals. Everton have gone 13 games without a victory in the Premier League for the first time in their history, a run which comprises of seven defeats and six draws before their win against Burnley last week.
They will then take on Chelsea, who are languishing just below the European spots in the league table. The Blues have only three wins to show from their last seven games in the Premier League. They are still making a play for Europe as they are just three points behind Newcastle United with a match in hand. Chelsea have been performing well at their home ground in recent times, so we can expect a narrow win for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Chelsea vs Everton Team News
Chelsea will be without Lesley Ugochukwu (hamstring), Levi Colwill (toe), Christopher Nkunku (thigh), Reece James (thigh), Romeo Lavia (thigh) and Wesley Fofana (knee) for this home fixture. Ben Chillwell who missed the last two games against Manchester United and Sheffied United due to illness could be fit to take part against Sean Dyche’s men.
On the other hand, Everton will be without Dele Alli, Arnaut Danjuma, and Lewis Dobbin going into this weekend. Defender Vitaliy Mykolenko has shaken off his illness in the stalemate against Newcastle United and will be available this Saturday.

Chelsea vs Everton Prediction
The Blues are certainly the heavy favorites coming into this fixture even though they have been very inconsistent with their lacklustre performances throughout the season. Chelsea are surprisingly on a seven-game unbeaten run but their lack of consistency could cost them points against Sean Dyche’s men at their home ground.
Meanwhile, relegation-threatened Everton have struggled to gather any consistent form this season but they were hit with a 10-point deduction by the Premier League. Defensively they have been better than Chelsea, conceding 42 goals in 31 games.
Predicted Score: Chelsea 2-1 Everton
