Arsenal vs Luton Player Ratings as Martin Odegaard scores in a comfortable win for the Gunners

Arsenal vs Luton Match Summary

Arsenal vs Luton ended in a straightforward 2-0 win for the hosts at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on April 3.

The first half saw the Gunners dominate possession right from the start as they made a strong start to the contest. By keeping the ball, they used their trademark passing and movement to try and find spaces behind Luton’s defensive lines. Martin Odegaard grabbed the opening goal of the game after 24 minutes following an assist by Kai Havertz to round off what was a lovely move.

The Gunners were gifted their second goal on the cusp of half-time. Luton defender Daiki Hashioka was unlucky as the ball ricocheted off him and bounced into the visitors’ goal. Arsenal led 2-0 at the break.

The second half was a very quiet affair as the hosts took their foot off the gas significantly. They were also happy to concede possession and kept the ball for just 53% of the time, managing just one shot on target in two attempts. Luton, on the other hand, did not hit the target with any of their three shots. Both managers made wholesale changes to their lineups entering the closing stages of the game.

However, it was Arsenal that emerged victorious after another commanding performance. Their defensive record for 2024 now reads 10 games played and just four goals conceded. With that said, let’s take a look at the player ratings for both teams.
