Argentina vs El Salvador Match Summary

Argentina vs El Salvador ended in a comfortable 3-0 win for the defending world champions as three different scorers did the job.

The first half saw La Albiceleste dominate possession and create several scoring opportunities. Romero jumped first and got his head to the ball to direct it into the goal to make it 1-0 after 16 minutes.

Argentina attempted 13 shots in the first half and hit the target six times. Enzo Fernandez doubled his team’s lead in the 42nd minute with a smart finish to make it 2-0. El Salvador, on the other hand, attempted just one shot and failed to hit the target as they trailed at the break.

La Albiceleste made a strong start to the second half as well and scored another goal just seven minutes after the restart. Lautaro Martinez provided an assist for Giovani Lo Celso to make it 3-0 after 52 minutes. The hosts continued to boss possession and were in total control of the game.
