Michael Edwards Returns to Liverpool FC as Head of Football Operations

During his previous tenure as sporting director, Edwards played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s transformation, overseeing key signings such as Mohamed Salah, Alisson, Fabinho, Sadio Mane, and Virgil van Dijk.

His adept negotiation skills were also evident in securing impressive fees for outgoing players, notably Philippe Coutinho’s £142 million transfer to Barcelona.

Upon his return, Edwards will assume a leadership role, with a new sporting director, Richard Hughes from Bournemouth, set to work under him.
