Alexis Mac Allister ‘very happy’ at Liverpool as Father Dismisses Real Madrid Transfer Rumors

Alexis Mac Allister has become a vital part of Liverpool’s midfield force and played a key role in helping them move towards the 2024/25 Premier League title. The Argentina international’s admirable performances have not only garnered him widespread praise but also earned him attention from prominent clubs. Alexis Mac Allister Transfer news has been on trend for some time now.

Indeed, it was recently claimed that Real Madrid are interested in the possibility of signing the 26-year-old in the 2025 summer window. However, that has not seemingly been rubbished by someone close to the Liverpool midfielder himself.

Alexis Mac Allister Transfer to Real Madrid: What Did His Father Say About Liverpool’s Future?

After Spanish reports claimed that Alexis Mac Allister transfer to Real Madrid was done, a topic of conversation for the summer, it’s the midfielder’s father who has made a firm clarification on his future. When asked about Mac Allister’s long-term future at Anfield, Carlos Mac Allister stated: “There’s nothing to comment.

“Alexis is very happy at Liverpool and hopes to be crowned Premier League champion, then enjoy a break he didn’t get last year. It’s important to value and respect the institution he’s playing for, so any comment from us would be unnecessary. He has a contract until 2028. He’s happy at the club — let’s hope he stays there.”

This comment reassures that the 26-year-old has aspirations of completing the tenure of his existing contract with Liverpool and winning more trophies with the club. It should also act as a ‘hands-off’ gesture towards Real Madrid, who would find it near impossible to sign the midfielder from the Premier League giants.

Alexis Mac Allister’s Career at Liverpool

Mac Allister joined Liverpool in the 2023 summer transfer window after gaining popularity thanks to his heroics at Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League. The 24-year-old has since become a regular starter in the Reds’ midfield line, initially doing a good job under Jurgen Klopp before he began to shine through under Arne Slot’s system at Anfield from the 2024/25 season onwards.

The Argentine midfielder has already made 91 appearances for the Reds in under two years, in which he has scored 13 goals and provided 12 assists. That includes his 45 appearances in all competitions in the ongoing season, where he’s scored six goals and bagged five assists for the Reds. This includes goals against the likes of Newcastle United, Everton, and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. The 24-year-old provided a crucial assist in Liverpool’s recent 2-1 win over West Ham United in the Premier League and looks to be en route to winning his first major league title with the Reds.
