What Chip To Use For Fantasy Premier League Blank GW29

This weekend is a blank gameweek in Fantasy Premier League as Liverpool, Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace will not be playing any Premier League matches. This means it is difficult to make your FPL teams, as most teams include players from these 4 clubs. That is where the Free Hit chip comes in. It allows you to make unlimited transfers which last for a single gameweek. Let us look at a few options to bring in for the Free Hit chip.

When it comes to the goalkeepers, there are some decent options. Matz Sels is the best option undoubtedly. He has the most clean sheets out of anyone in the Premier League with 11 and this week Nottingham Forest play Ipswich Town meaning a high chance of a clean sheet. Wolves are not great but they have a high chance of keeping a clean sheet because they play Southampton who have been poor this season. Jose Sa could be an option. David Raya is a popular option and given Chelsea’s struggles in attack of late, the Arsenal man can be considered a decent option as well.

Defenders are slightly more complicated. Ola Aina has more points than any defender in the game and just like in case of Sels, Forest could make light work of Ipswich. Josko Gvardiol has had an up and down season but the Manchester City defender is expected to return against Leicester City. Rayan Ait Nouri is another option. He has provided the attacking returns and could play further up the pitch against Southampton for Wolves.

Cole Palmer could be a sensible pick, however, given his form, and his fixture being against Arsenal, funds are probably better utilised elsewhere. Bruno Fernandes is a shoo-in in this. The Red Devils captain has delivered 29 points over the last three Gameweeks. He also had a huge 17-point return against this week’s opponents Leicester in November as well. Bryan Mbeumo and Justin Kluivert face each other but Brentford and Bournemouth are kind of evenly matched so both could profit.

The most obvious pick here is Erling Haaland. While his form is up and down, the chances he scores more than one against Leicester are high. You can use the Salah/Palmer funds on him. Chris Wood has more points than any striker in Fantasy Premier League and expect another haul against Ipswich. Beto of Everton is another interesting one given his good form and his game being against an average West Ham team.

If you haven’t played the Assistant Manager chip, the chances of you doing it this week are low. That being said, there are options. Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth has Brentford (home), Ipswich (home), West Ham (away) so he’s the safe pick with low chances of bonus points. Ange of Spurs is interesting because they have Fulham (away), Chelsea (away), Southampton (home) with two of these teams being above them but still being beatable, hence giving a chance of bonus points. West Ham have Everton (away), Wolves (away), Bournemouth (home) so Graham Potter could be someone worth looking at.
