Inter 3–2 Monza Player Ratings: Inter Edge Monza in Dramatic Comeback Victory

Inter Milan secured a thrilling 3-2 comeback win over Monza at the San Siro, overcoming an early two-goal deficit to claim all three points in a dramatic Serie A encounter.

Despite Inter’s dominance in possession, Monza took a surprising lead in the 32nd minute against the run of play. Samuele Birindelli combined brilliantly with Dany Mota, finishing coolly past Josep Martinez to make it 1-0. The visitors then doubled their advantage just before halftime, with former Inter forward Keita Baldé curling in a stunning strike on his 30th birthday.

Inter responded immediately, cutting the deficit to 2-1 in first-half stoppage time. Denzel Dumfries provided a headed assist across goal for Marko Arnautovic, who slotted home from close range to give the Nerazzurri a lifeline heading into the break.

Inter intensified their attack after halftime, and in the 64th minute, Hakan Çalhanoğlu leveled the score at 2-2 with a powerful first-time shot after a layoff from Yann Aurel Bisseck.

The decisive moment arrived in the 77th minute when Inter took the lead through an own goal. Carlos Augusto’s cross forced Giorgos Kyriakopoulos into an awkward defensive clearance, with goal-line technology confirming the ball had fully crossed the line despite Turati’s desperate attempt to keep it out.

Monza fought valiantly but failed to register a shot on target in the second half, struggling under Inter’s relentless pressure. Simone Inzaghi’s second-half substitutions, including the introductions of Bisseck and Marcus Thuram, played a crucial role in shifting the momentum in Inter’s favor.

With this victory, Inter continued their strong domestic form, maintaining their lead at the top of the Serie A table, while Monza remained in a difficult position, desperate for points to avoid relegation trouble.
