From an early age of 11 Rizvi started playing cricket at Gandhibagh Academy in Meerut with guidance from his maternal uncle Tankeeb Akhtar. The early sign of his talent appeared when Suresh Raina spotted him playing field during a Ranji Trophy match between Uttar Pradesh and Saurashtra when Rizvi was only five years old. During the 2023 UP T20 League Rizvi led Kanpur Superstars to top performance by scoring 455 runs from nine innings which included two centuries. His 47-ball century scored during the tournament qualified as the fastest century of the competition. The rapidly paced batting style of Rizvi received notice from CSK which resulted in his life-defining IPL contract.
